Your media never leaves your browser

Images and videos you select are decoded and processed locally using your browser’s Canvas and WebCodecs APIs. OverlayMend has no upload endpoint for user media. We do not receive, store, log, proxy, analyze, or transmit your files, pixels, frames, or filenames.

The processing page loads no third-party scripts

The tool lives on its own page at /tool. That page loads no advertising or analytics scripts of any kind, whatever the site is configured to show elsewhere. Advertising, when the owner enables it, runs only on the informational pages — which never hold your media. The document that reads, decodes and exports your file therefore contains only OverlayMend’s own code.

What the server does store

Our backend exists only to run the site itself: owner authentication and MFA, site settings, monetization configuration, content, FAQ, affiliates, announcements, SEO metadata, and security/audit events. None of this includes your media.

Cookies

Public browsing does not require login cookies. Admin sessions use a secure, HttpOnly session cookie. If advertising is enabled by the owner, third-party ad providers may set their own cookies on the informational pages, subject to their own policies. No media is ever shared with them, and those providers are not loaded on the processing page at all.

Advertising & analytics

Advertising is isolated from media processing by page, not merely by component. We never pass your media, filenames or processing activity to advertising or analytics providers.
